Join us as we grow!

It is an exciting time to join the Angus Knight Group, as we grow both nationally and internationally.

Our workplaces each have their own identity, but we share the same drive and determination for success – for others, ourselves, our clients, our communities and for the business.

Join us if you’re passionate about making a difference and align with our values: to be principled, keep our promises, achieve together, and respect and value all people.

Angus Knight Group is a Great Place to Work

In October 2022 we conducted the first of our annual Great Place to Work surveys and were delighted to be #GPTWcertified by our staff. The survey also allowed us to see areas where we could improve and has helped us develop a roadmap to increase employee satisfaction. Thanks to everyone who participated, we are proud of the achievement.

CEOs for Gender Equity (CGE)

Angus Knight Group is committed to gender equity and boosting women’s participation within the workforce. Currently, Angus Knight has 51% women as leaders. Nic Fairbank our Group CEO has been a CEOs for Gender Equity (CGE) Board Member since 2019 and the Angus Knight Group is well placed to drive forward gender equity, raise the percentage of women leaders within Angus Knight and inspire others to do the same. Within our businesses we support women to train, access assistance, and get meaningful employment whatever their background and life experiences. The Real Futures Women’s Business Second Chance Hub is our specialist First Nations service in Western Sydney, Kempsey and Carnarvon, that provides culturally safe, women’s only spaces and helps women overcome gender-based barriers to education and employment; creating scalable learning and employment pathways.  This service is supported by UN Women, the BHP Foundation and the Angus Knight Foundation.

Solider On Gold Pledge Partner

We’ve signed The Pledge with Solider On in support of their vision to enable serving and ex-serving veterans and their families to thrive.

Soldier On is a leader in supporting those who have served and continue to serve since 1990 in the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Solider On’s services aim to help individuals build resilience and create, expand meaningful connections with family, community, and employers through the Solider On health and well-being services, employment programs, learning opportunities, and participation activities.

The Angus Knight Group has been a big part of my life for the last nine years. I love working for Angus Knight because we just do it better than anyone else! I’m proud of Angus Knight’s contributions to the communities in which we deliver services.

Valuing diversity

68% of our team are women, including 51% of our leaders
9% identify as living with a disability
16% identify as First Nations Australians

Across more than 200 locations in Australia and the UK, directly and through our partnerships, we engage with our diverse clients in 78 languages.

Our commitment to diversity is reflected in our Reconciliation Action Plan and Indigenous Participation Plan.

Fostering leadership

One of our key goals is to develop leadership skills. In 2021 we developed a tailored program to develop leadership capability, build careers and invest in the continued growth of our teams. The program is being deployed across all businesses in partnership with the Angus Knight Institute.

Building capability

At Angus Knight we pride ourselves on recruiting the best talent and supporting them to rise to the challenges and growth ahead. We have partnered with Ability MapTM to help us make informed hiring decisions based on capabilities mapped to specific roles. This allows us to hire the right people, as well as build capability profiles for our existing team members, supporting ongoing professional development and building career pathways across the group.

Our new applicant tracking system, Bullhorn, also helps streamline our talent acquisition processes, enabling the creation of talent pools and enhancing the recruitment experience for our candidates.

Our traineeship program: Angus Knight Allstars

Our Allstars trainee program launched in 2021 to #unleashpotential, providing career development opportunities within the company.

The aim is to recruit trainees for internal positions, just as we do externally for our job seekers. Allstar trainees get the opportunity to build their career by joining one of our businesses for a one-year traineeship and beyond.

The Allstars program offers trainees a structured platform across a variety of vocational disciplines in shared services (for example IT, finance, marketing, people and culture), as well as our employment, education, and community businesses. Alongside on-the-job training, trainees can complete an accredited qualification provided by one of our registered training organisations within the Angus Knight Institute.

Allstars is a win:win for everyone. We gain trainees with an aptitude and desire to learn, and trainees enjoy a raft of professional development benefits including:

•           Gaining a nationally recognised qualification

•           Earn while you learn

•           New skills acquisition

•           Executive mentoring and career coaching

•           Career pathway planning

•           Dedicated study time whilst at work

Allstars intakes are scheduled regularly throughout the year and are advertised internally throughout the Angus Knight Group and externally through Seek. We encourage everyone to think about family and friends who could benefit from this opportunity to empower people.

I love working for Angus Knight because of the support from all levels, career opportunities and knowing they always have my back. There is nothing more likely to make you do better than when your manager trusts and believes in you.

Flo Walker – Team Leader, Jobfind (Cairns)
