Building capacity and resilience
The Angus Knight Group operates in more than 200 communities across Australia, Canada, Italy, Singapore, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. We tailor our programs to suit local needs, whether for First Nations people, addressing the impacts of mental health and wellbeing, or outreach programs for young people.
We empower First Nations communities
Our partnerships with Traditional Owners and local organisations are designed to engage communities and youth, provide training and employment, build local capacity and enhance community life.
In 2020/21 these partnerships delivered the Australian Government’s Community Development Program (CDP) in seven regions around Australia.
We are consulting with the Australian Government and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations in the design and pilot of the new Remote Jobs Program and Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP) to take effect from 2023.
Our brands and partnerships are driven by their First Nations communities:
A majority-Aboriginal owned, controlled and managed company – delivers the Community Development Program (CDP), and Momentum programme, as well as Disability Employment Services (DES), in regional and remote Australia.
Remote Indigenous Sustainable Enterprises – delivers Community Development Program services in Katherine, Northern Territory, and in Kowanyama/ Pormpuraaw, Queensland.

We understand the impact of mental health and wellbeing
Community development programs can directly improve people’s sense of wellbeing. However, we also understand that difficult health, lifestyle, and personal issues can have a big impact on people’s ability to find and keep a job, which in turn can affect family and community life.
The Angus Knight Group’s Jobfind services also include Healthfind, its unique allied health offering. Healthfind can provide counselling, mentoring support or referrals for those facing mental health challenges, or problems such as domestic or family violence, homelessness or financial distress.
We support community needs
The Angus Knight group works with local community partners to help us:
We understand that young people suffer higher levels of unemployment than the general population. We engage with young people in all areas of their life to support, nurture and develop them in meaningful ways – across emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing.
For many older people, getting a job means they can enjoy a self-sufficient and fulfilling life. We provide Community Development Program activity and job opportunities for mature-aged people across Australia.
Parents and carers
Parents and carers can need specific kinds of support in order to get back into the workforce.
We support policies that promote equality for all LGBTIQ+ people, inclusive of all intersecting identities. We support the equality and inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth and adults in workplaces, employment, and all aspects of life.
