Employment services provider Jobfind Mount Isa hosted a NAIDOC Careers Expo Day last Thursday.

The expo was an opportunity for local community organisations and employers to showcase their services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and the wider public, in Mount Isa.

The expo adopted this year’s NAIDOC Week theme of “Serving Country – Centenary and Beyond”, honouring Indigenous men and women who served their country.

In celebration of these contributions, firefighters and members of the defence forces attended the event.

Expo attendees visited exhibitor stalls where information on the support available in their community could be found, including government, health and training.

The event also provided a platform for job seekers to find out about employment opportunities available through Jobfind.
